3 Months of Fun with my big Sis

Ella told me that Hudson wanted to watch a movie with her so I put in a movie for them and I came back out and this is how I found her watching the movie.

Well it has been 3 months already and he is such a little sweetie. Hudson is my big smiling butterball baby. He still wakes up about twice a night unless he has a cold (which it seems has most of the time) then he wakes up 3-4 times a night. He is still in his bassinet at night but he does take naps in his crib. Naps are only about 30 minutes long in his crib but if he takes a nap in his swing or in mommy's arms he will sleep for a couple of hours. Hudson is such a happy smiling great baby. At church there is so many babies that I have been bringing him to Sunday School and Church with us and he will usually sleep right through Church (Ella would have never done that). He is also getting a little attached to his Mommy. If John is holding him and he sees or hears me he will start crying until I pick him up or show him attention. So much for not spoiling him.

Ella loves playing with Hudson and all his new baby toys. She is still such a great helper. She loves to remind me of Tummy Time mainly because she loves to play with him and his toys. She loves to wake him up because she just wants to play with him and give him hugs and kisses. I have caught her rolling him across the floor and I worry that she is going to hurt him but he is just smiling and giggling so big. Her other favorite thing is to tell me Hudson wants to do something, like "Mommy, Hudson wants to watch a movie with Ella?". Also she still does talk in the third person. I try to get her to talk in the first person and say I am hungry instead of Ella's hungry but she says "Oh you are hungry Mommy." We will keep working on it.

Fun at the Library

Ella loves to read so for about the last 8 months we have been going to the library. At the library they have story time twice a week and I keep meaning to take her but we just haven't made it until today. They watch movies, read books, exercise, dance and have arts and crafts. Ella was about the youngest one there out of about 20 kids. She was a little shy until the dancing started and then she was at the head of the pack. I guess now that she knows how much fun it is we will probably have to go every week.

Ella and the Chipmunks

We took Ella and Hudson to their first movie Alvin and the Chipmunks. She did really good and she especially liked the treats. Hudson also enjoyed the movie by sleeping the entire time. After the movie was over Ella was ready to watch the movie again.

Me and My Boy

I realized I didn't have any pictures of just me and Hudson since he was born (except for hospital pictures). So I had John take some of us.

Checking sport scores with Daddy

My little baby is two months already. He is getting so big at his 2 month checkup he weighed 13 lbs 14 oz. (93%) and was 24" (80%) tall. Hudson loves to talk and smile all the time. Ella loves that he is able to watch her more and she enjoys showing him all her fancy dance moves. He loves Ella and all the attention she gives him she can really get him to smile and coo. Sleeping is going pretty good so far he wakes up usually two times a night and he is still in his bassinet in our room. He is such a special little gift from God.

Happy New Year!

Happy 2008!

Happy New Year! We spent the night at Roger's with all of the other families that live around here. It was pretty crazy with 20 kids and 10 adults. Thankfully Roger & Dee Dee have a big house so everyone could spread out. The kids had fun playing downstairs and playing dress-up and putting on plays. The adults enjoyed having a boxing tournament on the Wii. It was quite a workout I think after playing we realized we were all out of shape. Julie was the Wii boxing Champ. The girls stayed up till about 2 am and the guys stayed up till about 4:30 am playing cards and tennis on the Wii. New Years Day John and Roger made breakfast for everyone. Then the guys were off to watch football. It was a lot of fun and I think we should make it a yearly tradition.
