Happy Halloween!

Ella dressed up like Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Hudson dressed up as just a cute little baby. Our friends and there little boy Ian came over for just a little bit. We took Ella trick and treating at just two houses. She had fun saying trick or treat but when we got to the doors we said okay Ella what do you say she said "please". Ella really enjoyed coming home and eating her candy and passing out candy to all the other kids that came to the door.

Ella wanting to take Hudson for a walk

Love at First Sight

Ella was so excited to see her new brother. When she first saw him she couldn't wait to hold him. She would sit in the chair and sing him songs and give him kisses. Everytime she came to see him she wanted to take him home. Since we have been home she hasn't change at all. She is constantly wanting to hold him and love on him. She gets upset when he starts crying and she tries to sing to him to make him stop. One of her favorite things to do with him beside holding him is to read and sing to him. Hudson is pretty easy going and doesn't mind his very loud sister.

Finally......

....baby Hudson William was born on October 25th. I was scheduled to be induced on Thursday the 25th but our little guy decided he didn't want to wait till then. We went into the hospital at 10:00 pm Wednesday and he was born at 3:44 am Thursday. Delivery went really well I only had to push through one contraction and he was out. He looks completely different than Ella he has blonde hair. Although they both weighed almost the same. Hudson weighed 7 lbs 15 oz. and was 20 1/2" long. He is such a great blessing and we are so thankful for our healthy baby boy.

Carving Pumpkins

We wanted to make sure that we got the pumpkins carved before we had the baby. Ella really loved helping carve the pumpkins. She picked out the designs which were Mickey and Minnie Mouse and decorated the little pumpkins by drawing faces on them with marker. We only got one pumpkin finished last night so when Ella woke up this morning she was sitting in the dark at the kitchen table waiting for me to carve out the next pumpkin. So at 6:30 am I was carving a pumpkin. After we finished that one she was wanting to still carve more pumpkins.

Cupcake Time

Ella has been begging me to make cupcakes with her so I finally gave in. She was such a good little helper. She kept saying "I hope Daddy likes these" and of course he did. When we were icing the cupcakes she just decided to start eating them. Next time I am might just give her some icing and sprinkles because she enjoyed them more than the cupcake.

Pregnancy Update

Yep, still pregnant. I guess 40 weeks isn't long enough for my little baby boy. After my 39 week appointment I thought I would for sure have him this past week. I tried everything walked, cleaned, exercised and yet this week nothing had changed. Ella is starting to get a little impatient. She tells the baby "Come out Baby" and most of the time she is shouting it into my belly. She really is cute if the baby kicks me really hard she kisses my belly to make my boo-boo all better. There is an end in sight if I haven't had the baby by Wednesday I will be induced Thursday morning. Hopefully I will not have the same experience that my sister-in-law Elisa had and I will not be sent home only to come back in another week. I still hope to have him before Thursday but we will see.

Family Fun Night

We took Ella to the mall tonight to Build-A-Bear so she could make a bear. She had a lot of fun filling the bear with stuffing and kissing the little heart that she put inside the bear. We also had Ella make a turtle for her baby brother. She especially loved picking out an outfit for her bear. Which of course was a Princess outfit with matching shoes, bow and purse. Then we went to the play area at the mall and she played and rode the carousel. I spent my time at the mall walking as much as I could but still nothing is happening. ONE WEEK TOO GO (hopefully less but probably more).

I took Ella to a Princess Party this weekend. She had so much fun dressing up like a princess. They had a bunch of fun Princess activities for the girls to do. Ella really enjoyed the games and especially the Princess concert. She would get excited when she would see a Princess she would recognize. Also she went to Princess story time but she started to read another book while the Princess was reading. She didn't understand why people didn't want to listen to her read. Ella is such a sweet little Princess.
