Four Months

My happy little baby is 4 months old. He is always smiling, laughing and cooing. He loves his sister especially when she reads to him or plays with him. He is sleeping really well and usually wakes up only one time a night and then goes right back too sleep. He is starting to grab everything and he loves to suck his thumb. Hudson started to rollover about a week and half ago and is getting real good and fast. He loves to jump in his jumper and read stories in his bumbo seat.

Ella is still loving having a little brother and is still a great helper. She loves to read to her brother and she loves all the attention she gets from him. She actually gets upset when he doesn't pay attention to her. Sometimes she tells me that Hudson hurt her feelings and I ask her why and she said because he didn't laugh at me. When Hudson starts talking Ella works as our interpreter. But some how everything Hudson says is something Ella wants to do or eat. Some of Hudson's favorite things to say (according to Ella) is he wants to watch a movie, have a snack or play dress-up.

Quality Time with Gramma & Grampa

"Oh, My"

John's parents came up yesterday to get there taxes done and we were able to spend some time with them. Ella enjoyed sitting on Grampa's lap and him reading her stories and Hudson enjoyed Gramma loving on him. Then we went out to eat at a Japanese Steakhouse. Ella was a little scared at first but then she loved it. When he made the onion volcano Ella was a little scared and she said "Oh, my." It was a nice evening and we are glad that we were able to spend some time with them before they made the long 4 hour car ride home.

February Family Play Time

Playing School
All lined up to play knock out
It's down to John & Julie....
and the winner is Julie
We had our family get together this month and Phil & Julie decided to have it in a gym. It was a good idea all the kids had plenty of room to run and play. The adults had fun playing Knock Out and playing soccer against the kids. The girls and some of the boys had fun playing school and coloring. I'm not sure who won in the soccer game but the kids sure did a good job wearing out the adults. Ella had lots of fun playing with her "best friends" and Hudson just enjoyed watching everything.

I've been tagged

I got tagged by Elisa, so here are 6 things you didn't even know you wanted to know about me:

1. I love to watch old movies. Especially old Hitchcock or Cary Grant movies. We have at least 100 classic movies.
2. I do not like feet. I can't stand for them to be anywhere near my hands or face.
3. I love the rain and thunderstroms. I just want to stay inside and put on my p.j's and read in bed.
4. I am a morning person. Probably almost to the point of being too happy especially since John is not at all a morning person.
5. I absoultely love Christmas. I will start listening to Christmas songs about the first of November and keep listening to them till well into January. It is probably where Ella gets her obsession with Christmas.
6. I love watching the TV show The Office. I think that it is hilarious. I also like watching Murder, She Wrote. That could be because when I was younger my Grandma always watched the murder mystery shows when she was babysitting me.

I am tagging Gramma's News, Chiles 4, Grabers Grapevine and Britt's News.

Bible Study and Stories

Ella was reading Hudson stories this morning (really she was just pretending to read him Bible stories). And then she was writing down her Bible lessons. Which this is what she was saying her lesson was about:
1. Jesus is good
2. Obey your Mommy & Daddy
3. Listen to your Teacher
4. Be nice to others
Of course Hudson had no idea what she was saying but he was just watching her and she read to him. She will be a great little role model for her little brother.

Jump or Swing?

Hudson is such a mover and kicker that we decided to get him this little jumper. He loves it and already jumps and spins around in it. The bad thing is trying to teach Ella that it is not a swing and she can't push him. But when Hudson isn't using it she loves pushing her babies. One time she even tried and underdog.

What's for Dinner............

.....my fist. Without fail everytime during dinner Hudson starts getting fussy. So we put him in his highchair with some toys and he loves it.

Hudson loves his little bumbo chair. He does really good sitting in it.

Christmas Again & Again

Who needs a tree when you have a baby swing

Ever since we took our Christmas tree down about a month ago, Ella has been very sad that Christmas was over. So now we have Christmas everyday with a Christmas tree (as you can see from above) and presents. It is like the movie Ground Hog day except it is Christmas everyday. She keeps decorating the baby's swing and wrapping up gifts. Then she pretends to go to sleep and then she wakes up and says "Mommy, it's Christmas Eve?" Thankfully she is satisfied with presents that she already has instead of wanting new presents.
