She is very serious while riding the horse

We went to Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday for Mya's 2nd Birthday. It was a little chaotic because the party was at 1:00pm and when you have 15-20 young kids that haven't taken naps it is bound to get a little crazy. There was also about 6 other Birthday parties going on. Ella really had fun riding the rides and going down the slide and John enjoyed shooting some hoops with the other Dads.

Baby Raegan

On Friday we went to the hospital to see baby Raegan, Elisa and Johnny. She is so cute and she didn't seem to be that big. Ella loved her she showered her with hugs and kisses. She also loved Uncle Johnny who gave her ice cream and other sugary snacks. When we asked Ella if she wanted to have a baby at home she said "No". Well hopefully she will change her mind once she sees her new brother.

Mom's Birthday Party

We had a surprise birthday for my mom on Friday night. We decorated her house and even her little dog. She was exceptionally surprised. Ella even received a present which was a new Princess bed for when she spends the night at Nana's.

Worlds of FUN?

The fountain Ella wanted to jump in
Meryn flying Ella around in an airplane

Ella driving Dawson around in the boat

Ella really enjoyed the boat ride especially ringing the bell

John took Ella to Worlds of Fun on Sunday. They went with Johnny and his kids, Greg & Susan and their kids, June, Maggie, Dawson, Phil, Owen, Malia and Grampa. The temperature was 100 degrees (but the heat index was 109) so after the game the night before I decided not to go as planned. Since I didn't go John wasn't able to ride much of the adult rides but he did take Ella on about 10 rides. He said that she was pretty fearless on the rides. They went on a kiddie ride that raises you up 20 feet drops you again and again and Ella actually liked it ( I think at her age I would have been to scared to even ride it). Unfortunately Ella was too small to ride any of the water rides. But she did want to jump in one of the water fountains. She was pretty upset when Daddy told her she couldn't swim in the fountain. John,Ella, Dawson and Grampa had enough of the heat and left at around 2:00 p.m. but everyone else stayed until around 9:00 p.m.

A HOT Royals Game

Sweaty Messy Ella posing with the free Bobble Head

We went to the Royals game Saturday night. It was a 6:00 game and the temperature was 97 degrees. So it was a very hot and sticky night as the night went on the temperature never dropped. This was Ella's first game this year we took her last year with her cousins and she really enjoyed it. She really enjoyed going to the game with her Grampa. Ella also really enjoyed all the food she ate especially the peanuts (I think she ate a whole bag by herself). Our tickets were really nice right behind home plate. Since the game was on TV we decided to see if you could see us on TV. Grampa tried first and then John & Ella they both were on TV. John and Ella were on twice because they showed a replay of the swing and they were in the background. Ella had a lot of fun we stayed to the end and the Royals actually won the game. By the time we left we were all sweaty and I was very thankful for air conditioning.

Ella's Bath Time

My little mermaid
Ella washing her hair
Silly Girl

Bath time used to be a kicking and screaming battle just to get Ella in the tub. Once she was in the tub she was okay but she didn't like to play. Just wash me and get me out was all she wanted. Until I redid her bathroom in Monkeys. At first she still didn't like taking baths until I told her that the Monkeys were sad that she wouldn't take a bath with them. Now when she wants to take a bath she comes up to me and says "Monkeys sad, Mommy". So now she loves taking baths so far everyday this week she has taken a bath for at least 40 minutes each time. Ella didn't like bubbles at all either until she saw they had Dora and Princess bubbles. She has such a great imagination she will pretend to be a mermaid and splash around.
