I took the kids to their 6 month and 3 year check-ups today. They are both growing up too fast. Ella was 38" tall (75%) and weighed 32 lbs (75%). Hudson was 28" tall (90%) and weighed 18 lbs 2 oz (60%). So we have some healthy kids. The doctor looked at Ella's bump again and wants her go to the dermatologist and probably get another ultrasound. So we will see how that goes.

Happy 1/2 Birthday!
Six months and it has really flown by. Hudson has had some big milestones this month. He started crawling, sitting by himself, eating cereal, getting himself to a sitting postion and started talking (like dada). Also we tried baby food and a baby cup. We let Ella pick out which food he would try first so she picked green beans. As you can see from the face above he didn't like it at all. He did like his cup but I think he just enjoyed chewing on it, I don't think he got a lot of water out of it. We also had to lower his bed because he was sitting up all the time and trying to pull himself up. He is crawling and getting around really fast. He loves to crawl and then sit up for a little bit and then start crawling again. Hudson is getting too big too fast. I think he is trying to keep up with his big sister.
Ella is again still my big helper. She loves to feed Hudson and tickle him and talk to him. Now that Hudson has started talking more she thinks that he says Ella (which in some of his babbling it does sound like he says Ella), even though he has no idea what he said. She has been regressing back to a baby a little bit. Last week we ran out of her diapers and she wore Hudson's diapers until we could get to the store. She was so proud and told everyone she was wearing baby diapers. Then when we gave Hudson his baby cup, she had to have a baby cup just like him. Hopefully this won't last too long. Thankfully she hasn't given up walking for crawling.

A New Toy?

Look who's almost crawling.....
For a couple of days now Hudson has been getting on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. He will take little crawls forward and then he falls head first into the floor. Then he goes back to the old backwards crawl and usually gets stuck under the furniture. I am not quite ready for him to start crawling yet. I have to make sure all of Ella's small toys are always picked up off the floor.
Playing Outside
It has been finally somewhat nice outside. So Ella has been wanting to go outside and play. Especially since we took her to soccer class she is always wanting to go out and play soccer. But Hudson has had a cold and it has been pretty windy, so he has been enjoying watching Ella from inside sitting in his highchair.

John and some of the guys went up to Lawrence see the parade and go to Allen Fieldhouse. They were able to see the players up close and even got some autographs. John was able to get Russell Robinson, Darnell Jackson, Mario Chalmers and Sasha Kaun's autographs. It was hard to get autographs because some of them weren't signing.

The Next Soccer Star.....
A little boy took her soccer ball and after that she always carried her ball with her
.....Probably not (well at least not yet). We took Ella to a soccer class to see if she would like to play soccer this year. She did pretty well but we need to toughen her up a little bit. She cried a little bit when a boy accidentally hit her with a soft bouncy ball. I am sure by next year she will be used to get hit with all kinds of things by her little brother. So soccer will have to wait till at least next year.

Ella's Little People World
Ella has a great imagination and she created a town, school, and park for her little people.
